The security camera footage captured in her apartment building shows the moments the lift became stuck before crashing seven floors to the ground below.

Pelin rang her husband Gokhan Kiyga when the lift became stuck.

The CCTV shows Gokhan speaking on the phone to her outside the lift when it became stuck.

Gokhan can then be seen with two other men trying to figure out the problem.

After Gokhan pressed the button in an attempt to get the doors open, they heard a crash sound and sprang into action.

He can be seen trying to prise open the doors in the final moments before his wife’s death, trying to save her up until the last second.

When it was clear he was not getting into the elevator, he ran down the stairs before the footage cuts.

Gokhan sustained a foot injury in his fight to save his wife’s life.

The couple shared a child together.

Emergency services attended the 11-storey apartment building on Tuesday morning in Tarsus,Turkey, and rushed Pelin to the hospital.

Sadly, her injuries from the fall were too severe and she died a short time later.

Both police and paramedics attended the scene of the tragic accident.

An investigation into the elevator collapse has been launched and police say 17 people have been interviewed.

Investigators have since arrested three people, including the former company manager responsible for the lift, the current manager and the site manager.

Residents had written to the building’s Whatsapp group, reporting the lift had been malfunctioning for a month before the accident.

The investigation remains ongoing.
